Better feed for better food!
Completed a rotation across Production, QA, and QC in broiler feed manufacturing, evaluating 8 pellet quality parameters on 15 samples daily. Led a data-driven study of conditioning and cooling processes that identified the main drivers of pellet durability, presented to plant leaders.
Maintained quality and compliance records for a 3,800-head feedlot across feed intake, health, weight, and body condition score. Consolidated data from 3 teams in Excel, reducing reporting discrepancies.
As a laboratory assistant for the Biology practicum course, I was responsible for supporting student learning through both instructional and technical assistance in the laboratory.
Led a feed formulation training program for 46 participants, coordinating 9 speakers and 2 assistant trainers and achieving 90% participant satisfaction. Now serves as advisor to the new organizing team.
Formulated 3 least-cost rations for 500 head from 10–15 ingredients, cutting ration cost by 4% while meeting nutrient targets. Used intake and performance data to refine formulations and reduce feed waste.
Coordinated a 20-member team in breeding and production for 1,000 head of livestock. Standardized daily data recording and feed handling.
